Baseball Program

Salmon Creek Little League (SCLL) operates several age- and skill-appropriate t-ball, coach, and player pitch baseball programs. They are open to both boys and girls.

Evaluations are held each year for all drafted levels of play to help determine each player's overall skill and aptitude, and to ensure each player is properly placed at the correct level.

Our programs are designed to teach players (and parents) the fundamentals of the game while offering a fun, team-oriented environment to develop good sportsmanship, leadership skills, accountability and physical fitness.

No longer just a spring-time activity, Salmon Creek Little League offers programs through the spring, summer and fall.

Regular Season Play

The regular season typically runs from approximately mid-March to mid-June each year.

Players and families will be contacted by the league and/or their respective team Manager regarding practice schedules, game schedules, etc.

  • T-ball typically has 2 events per week. Practice begins in March and with one game per week on Saturdays starting in late March. A mid-week game will be added starting in May.
  • A and AA levels begin practices in early March. Players and families can expect 2 events per week at the Single-A level, and 2-3 events per week at Double-A. 15 to 20 games will be played during the season.
  • AAA, Majors, Intermediates, Juniors, and Seniors typically begin practices in early March. Players and families can expect up to 3-4 events per week, with 20 or more games in the regular season.

At the end of the regular season the A, AA AAA, and Majors teams typically participate in a tournament against the other SCLL teams.

All-Stars

All-Stars is competitive, tryout-based post-season play for drafted levels that typically begins mid-June and follows Little League Tournament play rules and schedules. SCLL no longer holds a single All-Stars tryout date. Instead a Player Intent form is sent out in May asking which players are interested in participating. The list of interested players is distributed to coaches to evaluate players over the last month of the season.

All-Stars teams are open to all eligible Salmon Creek Little League baseball players from the regular season. Teams will be formed based on the approved All-Stars selection process.

Levels Of Play

Salmon Creek Little League offers the following levels of play for baseball:

The Age Determination Date for a Little League Baseball player is the actual age of a child as of August 31 of the current year. These respective dates identify the “league age” as it relates to a player’s eligibility to participate in any of Little League’s divisions of play.

Players are placed on age and skill appropriate teams. All players must be League Age 4 to 16 years to participate.
