Josh Hojnacki Scholarship Program

Salmon Creek Little League welcomes all children. So if you know of any child who would like to play yet the family feels they cannot afford the costs, please encourage them to play and make them aware that SCLL is able to offer scholarships through the Josh Hojnacki Scholarship Fund. In addition to covering the cost of registration, the "Josh Fund" was also established to provide basic equipment such as a glove, cleats, or baseball pants.

Josh Hojnacki had a passion for baseball and played in Salmon Creek Little League until 1993. On January 1, 2006, Josh lost his life as bad weather toppled a tree onto the pickup Josh was riding in. Josh was 25 at the time. Click Here to read more about Josh.

To honor Josh, his parents approached SCLL with an idea to start a scholarship fund in Josh's name that would be used to make sure that any child who wants to play has the opportunity to do so. SCLL dedicated the 2006 season to Josh and we are happy to announce that year after year the Josh Fund grows, providing more and more opportunity for all children, regardless of their economic situation, to get outside, have fun and play baseball.

To be a recipient of the Josh Fund, please see the request form below.
